A veteran in the field of statistics with over 35 years of experience, Dr. Verma started his career as a public servant by joining the Indian Statistical Services (ISS) in 1982 and has been serving the Government of India in various capacities since, and recently retired as Director General, Social Statistics, Central Statistics Office, which happens to be the highest position in the Indian Statistical system. He is a proactive, result oriented, resourceful and self motivated individual with a proven ability to develop and effectively implement various initiatives with GOI and International Organizations of repute, in areas such as Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’S), Family Welfare Policy, Reproductive Child Health (RCH), Immunization, Project Monitoring and Management etc.
